Tällberg historical background
Tallberg, or "Thaellebaerghe", as the old name was written in 1450, means: "The pine-covered mountain, " is a beautiful village on the slope down to Lake Siljan with wonderful sunsets over the water all year round.
Top of the last century was Tällberg an ordinary farming village of about thirty farms with grazing animals, and many residents. With the railway came in 1914 began more and more people discover this beautiful village and tourism soon became the primary source of income. Tallberg was transformed from a "farming village" to "tourist". Large private dwelling house was converted into hotels and guesthouses, and even the school in the village was about to receive tourists
